Verification Policy
How registration-source information and marketplace verification are handled.
1. Two different verification layers
Registration-source check means the marketplace checked available source information associated with an RA record. Marketplace profile verification means the platform reviewed ownership or business-profile information submitted by a marketplace user. These are different processes and must not be interpreted as the same badge or assurance.
2. Official-source fields are controlled
RA ID, RC number, official agency name, authorised signatory, source status and other imported regulatory-source fields are not ordinary agency-editable fields. A claimed agency may enrich marketplace fields such as description, countries served, trades, industries, logo and requirement preferences, but it cannot silently overwrite the source record.
3. Profile claiming
A successful claim confirms that the marketplace approved an account to manage the marketplace portion of an existing profile. It does not itself create or renew an RA registration and does not mean that MEA/eMigrate endorsed the claimant or this marketplace.
4. Re-verification and source review holds
Source freshness is monitored separately from official RA status. If a staff source check detects a possible change or the authoritative source cannot be reliably checked, the profile may be placed on a source-review hold and excluded from active public search until the issue is resolved. Staff observations do not directly rewrite regulatory fields; confirmed changes should be applied through a controlled, auditable source update.
5. Historical verification log
The platform retains source-check events so that changes, confirmations and review holds can be audited. A newer authoritative source may supersede an earlier marketplace record.
6. Corrections and complaints
Users can report incorrect registration information, impersonation, misleading content or other concerns. Reports are moderated and are not automatically published as allegations against a business. See the Complaint & Grievance Policy for response timelines and the published Grievance Officer contact.
